During the opening ceremony of Azerbaijan Culture Centre in Vienna, members of the executive board of Azerbaijan Academic Association met with the President of Azerbaijan Republic, Ilham Aliyev. During conversation, Mr. President pointed out that he had information about passed Kickboxing event which was dedicated to 90th birthday anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Ilham Aliyev showed his interest to such events and he adviced it to be done annually. He pointed out that, he is ready to support such events, that promote Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan’s culture and sport.

Azerbaijan Academic Association team presented the championship belt to President Ilham Aliyev.

On May 10, 2013 a huge Kickboxing event which was dedicated to 90th birthday annyversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held in Gasometer – Vienna. “Land Of Fire” K-1 Rules Fight night was organized by Azerbaijan Academic Association with the cooperation of Iron Fist Gym Vienna. The biggest fight event of Vienna took place in one of the biggest event centers of Austria – Gasometer Vienna with the Sponsorship of Gilan and Garant Holdings. Top fighters from all over Europe participated at the event in order to fight against Azerbaijan’s top fighters.

On 28th of April the footsal tournament dedicated to 90th birthday of a national leader of Azerbaijan republic Heydar Aliyev was held in Vienna. The tournament was held by a partnership of AAA, which gathered Azerbaijan students in Austria, and Odlar Yurdu Organisation operating in London, by a support of Azerbaijan Embassy in Austria. The military forces of Armenia, raised unfounded territorial claims against the Azerbaijan Republic in early 1990s, and broking international norms, occupied 20 percent of the territory of our country that was officially recognized by the UN member-countries, barbarously destroyed national culture monuments.

Celebration took place in one of the greatest Hotels in Vienna – Ritz Carlton Hotel. On March 1st a conference dedicated to Khojaly Genocide were held in Vienna by the partnership of Embassy of Azerbaijan Republic in Austria and Austrian Turkish Confederation.

Azerbaijanis living in Austria, members of different Turkish organizations as well as the representatives of Austrian society took part on the event. The deputies of parliament of Azerbaijan Republic Rovshan Rzayev and Fuad Muradov held a speech at the conference. R. Rzayev mentioned the territorial claims that Armenians started against Azerbaijan by the end of 80th of the last century.
